What We Do

Programs and practice.

Four pillars. Multiple programs. All grounded in the same conviction: that cultural freedom requires active, sustained support.

Meeting Points

Encounters and communal spaces.

04
Sustained Support

Structure and resources for creative work to grow.

Marsa provides administrative, financial, and organizational support to cultural, artistic, film, and media initiatives that share its mission, giving them the structure they need to operate securely and to reach resources that would otherwise be beyond their grasp.

Through Sustained Support, Marsa becomes the legal and organizational home for selected initiatives. This means receiving and managing funds on their behalf, providing financial oversight, and ensuring that every activity stays aligned with Marsa's statutory objectives: supporting freedom of creativity and expression, building capacity for independent artists and filmmakers, and elevating diverse cultural voices in places where institutional support is limited.

Initiatives supported by Marsa are selected through a deliberate process and enter into a formal agreement that sets out the scope of activities, financial responsibilities, and reporting obligations. Marsa remains responsible for how funds are used, ensures they serve the public benefit purposes for which they were granted or donated, and applies a thorough process of verification to every initiative it takes on and the counterparties it works with.

Sustained Support reflects Marsa's belief that strong creative work needs a foundation to grow from. By extending its own organizational capacity, Marsa gives initiatives the footing to develop until they are ready to stand on their own.
